"A petite 23 month old can use it" 2009-12-28
By R. M. Bullard (Seattle, WA)
I was worried that my petite daughter (just turned 2 a couple days ago, very short and weighs 20 lbs) might not be able to use this but she has no issues with it. I needed something for our toilet since she refused to go on the little potty we bought her. Daycare has miniture 'big' potties which she can easily use with a stool but ours is still too tall for her. She would throw a fit when we would try to lift her up to it "I DO IT!!" so this is exactly what we needed.

The seat is on a hinge almost and when you take it off the toilet it falls back to the step part allowing it to 'fold' flat. When my daughter first used it I made sure to hold the ladder still so it wouldn't scare her (thus her not wanting to use it) if it moved. She turns around on the step and then sits and scoots back on the seat with little effort. While sitting on the seat she can put her hands on top of the handles to brace herself for #2 and yes, even lift up the ladder but she thinks that part is funny and it keeps her on the potty longer (it's always an event that she doesn't like to rush) without being dangerous at all.

Our neighbors have a 2/12 year old and are tired of cleaning out the little potty they have for her all the time so I let them borrow ours for a bit to see if they liked it and she's now ordering one. I've recommended it to several people. We're military living overseas in Germany and it fits the toilets out here just fine, if that helps anyone.

"wish I didn't take it out of the box" 2009-12-21
By D. Cooke (online shopper)
I thought this product was a great idea but it doesn't work. First the step up part is unstable and though I don't think it will collaps, my son didn't like that it moved so he was afraid to use it. Once up on the seat--- for a boy not good because he would pee straight going right up and out of the seat. While up there, holding on to the blue handles did not work because they too would wiggle making him afraid of sitting up on the seat.

don't waste your money.

"This is a must for any parent or caregiver" 2009-12-15
By Craig Mccall (Deerfield, IL)
This is a must if you have little ones. I was going to go with just a step stool, but I wondered how they would climb up on the potty. I would be doing most of the work. With this potty, they can climb up themselves and they feel so independent and proud of themselves.

Easy to put together. I did it in about 5 minutes. I have one for the upstairs and the downstairs. Inexpensive and worth every dime.

 "Unstable" 2009-12-08
By Carla Laverty (Ca)
It looked really great but was totally rickety and unstable. My two year old needed help every time so she would not fall which for me defeated the entire purpose of having the thing. I am going back to the baby bjorn which she can use all by herself and it's super easy to clean. Great idea but needs some improvements.

"Worked for my son with Cerebral Palsy" 2009-11-28
By Jennifer (The Dalles, OR, US)
I have tried other seats to help my son with Cerebral Palsy feel more confident and start him using the toilet vs. diapers. ( He is 4, and has severe physical limitations)

It was amazing, the step helped position his feet to break up his tone and the cushie seat was great for his thin bottom. Other trainer seats were too hard and had no real foot support. I do not know it if would be sturdy enough for a rough kid using it, but it works great when we put our son on it. He feels like a big kid and for him having that kind of independence.....I am very happy. I would definitely recommend it to others.
